Privacy policy

This policy describes the personal information we process when you use People Ask Also and the choices available to you.

Effective date: May 11, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how People Ask Also (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our websites, use our applications, create an account, call our APIs, or otherwise interact with the Service.

This Policy works together with our Terms of use, EULA, and Cookie policy.

2. Who is responsible for your data

People Ask Also is the controller of personal information described in this Policy for the Service, except where we process information solely on behalf of a business customer under a separate data-processing agreement. Contact privacy@peopleaskalso.com for privacy questions or requests.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Account and profile data: name, email address, password hash or authentication tokens, organization name, and billing contact details.
  • Service data: search queries, locale settings, uploaded CSV files, generated results, export history, API keys, usage metrics, and workspace configuration.
  • Payment data: subscription status and transaction references. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us in full.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, feature interactions, timestamps, diagnostic logs, and security signals.
  • Communications: messages you send to support, feedback forms, and survey responses.
  • Cookie and similar data: as described in our Cookie policy.

If you connect a third-party sign-in provider (for example Google), we receive information that provider shares with us according to your settings with that provider.

4. Sources of information

We collect information directly from you, automatically through the Service, from payment and authentication partners, and from service providers that help us operate the platform. We do not buy lists of personal information for resale.

5. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, maintain, and secure the Service;
  • authenticate users and administer accounts, plans, and credits;
  • process searches, uploads, exports, and API requests you initiate;
  • communicate about the Service, billing, security, and product updates;
  • analyze usage to improve performance, reliability, and features;
  • detect fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms;
  • comply with law and enforce our agreements.

Where required, we rely on an appropriate legal basis such as contract performance, legitimate interests balanced against your rights, consent, or legal obligation.

6. How we share information

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers that host infrastructure, process payments, deliver email, provide analytics, customer support tools, or supply search and AI data services under contract;
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, or insurers where reasonably necessary;
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security;
  • Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising unless we tell you otherwise and provide a choice where required.

7. Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Search history and exports may be retained according to your plan settings and operational backups. When data is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period unless law requires longer retention.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit where supported, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you use the Service at your own risk and should protect your credentials.

9. International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is consent-based;
  • receive a portable copy of information you provided;
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Submit requests to privacy@peopleaskalso.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some rights may be limited by law or by information we must retain.

Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. You can manage cookies as described in our Cookie policy.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Material updates will be communicated as required by law.
